A horrible warning...

Image
Hi everyone! Well it is Monday morning, and I know that at the beginning of the week some of us feel this way.  This image is from I Brake for stamps and is one of the humorous senior stamps sets called Half sheet #046.

The sentiment is from Half Sheet #052 and has some great sentiments to go with these silly seniors!

This is a CAS card, and I colored the image with some of my copic colors. Be sure to check out some of the other humorous senior sets and if any catch your fancy, you can get 10% off by using coupon code: SAVE10MONICA

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Miss You!

Hey friends, I am back sharing another card using the Hero Arts set Woof!  This is such a fun set and has the cutest little dogs.

Now the set does not say these are Dachshunds, but they sure look like Dachshunds to me. Perhaps because i have two little dottsies of my own and that is all i see! I colored the little pup in using Copic Colors E35 & E37. The heart was colored with R27.

The set has some great sentiments, but I thought this "miss you" sentiment said it all for this little critter.

He just looks so sad, but I am sure this card will put a smile on someone's face. This set is available over at A2Zscrapbooking.  If you spend $25 or more, you can use my discount code

Vintage Women

Hi everyone and happy Monday! I am here using one of my newest stamps, which is quickly becoming a favorite, from I Brake for Stamps.  When I first saw this image, it reminded me of a Vintage Class photograph. One you would find in a year book.

It is a great image and one that brings so many creative ideas to mind.  I am sharing this one with you today along with a shadowing technique using Jet Black Archival ink and Iced Spruce Distress Oxides ink.

If you want to see how I created this shadow affect, you can click on the video below.

This technique works great when working with silhouette stamps. By stamping the image with the Distress Oxide ink first, then moving the paper over an inch and re stamping the image with the Jet Black Archival ink, you create a shadow affect.

I did this technique with the All Women stamp above, but also did it with a sentiment stamp as well to show you the different effects.

After both inks were dry, I used a background stamp to create some interest.  I th…

STAMPlorations - Explore Your Creativity!

Hey friends! I am here today to share with you my mid month inspirational post for the Sketch/theme challenge over at STAMPlorations.

Today I am using the stamp sent BOLD SENTIMENT: Explore.  I have several of these Bold Sentiments sets and they are great! There are so many combinations you can get with these sets making them a great price point!

To create the background, I used 3 Distress Oxides and a stencil.

The sentiment was stamped using archival Jet Black ink.

I used some designer cardstock from DCWV called Mariposa. The butterflies were a final addition from Tim Holtz' Botanical Layers collections.

Don't forget, f you use Coupon Code: STAMPGIRLMONICA you will get an additional 20% off your purchase.

Thanks for stopping by.
