Creating Keepsake Cards

Hi everyone!

If you follow me, you know that I love creating vintage inspired cards. That is why I am so excited to share with you some fun and exciting news. I have been chosen to be part of the creative crew for Canvas Corp Brands. They carry the 7gypsies line which is one of my favorite products to work with.

The one year term begins in 2017, but I just couldn't hold back the news any longer.  To celebrate, I created this keepsake card using an old photo of my Mother-in-law Shirley.  She is on the left in this photo and is seated with her brother and sister on Santa's lap! While she is no longer with us, I think of her often.

She was a card maker well before I was and was the one who introduced me to Tim Holtz and got me started on my Vintage Card Making!  I miss her every day!

It is a wonderful photo and makes a great addition to this years holiday card.

12 Days of Christmas - Day 12

Well we did it! We made it to the 12th day of my 12 Days of Christmas series.  I hope that you have enjoyed my cards that I shared and that you learned something new or I at least inspired you to create.

For my last video, I wanted to share with you the process I go through when decorating my passport cards.  My passport cards are a labor of love and I really enjoy finding new creative variations of it.

12 Days of Christmas - Day 11

It is Day 11 and we are almost through my 12 Days of Christmas Series. I hope that you have had fun along the way and you have enjoyed my videos so far.

During the holidays, many of us gift several gift cards. So I thought it would be fun to create a cute Coffee gift card holder. I know I will need a few of these this year!

For my card, I used The Blowing Snowflake Tree from So Suzy Stamps and the Crystal Flurries Stamps set along with the matching Crystal Flurries Coordinating Dies.  I wanted to make a background that looked like a winter's day so I added some distress ink to some blue card stock and Moonlight White ink.

Masculine Birthday Card - Feat. So Suzy Stamps

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a masculine birthday card I made using So Suzy Stamps! I am a little sad today as this is my last post as a design team member!  I have had the pleasure of being part of the team since the inception and now it is time to move on!

So today I am sharing one of the very first stamps being on the design team and one of the new releases.  I love it when I have images that play on the words.

One of the easiest ways to make a masculine card is choosing the right colors. Brown tones always work well for masculine cards. To make this card I found some matching paper from Core'dinations.

My design worked off of the word "numbers" and 'world."  I used some washi tape as well as some remnant rubs to add numbers to the design.

I then stamped the Armillary Sphere onto some vintage paper and fussy cut it.  I wanted to add a few more brown tones, so I cam in with the gear foam stickers from Momenta.

As a final touch, I aged the card using my Vintage Photo Distress Crayon and some water.  This is a very simple project that anyone can create!

So as a So Suzy Design Team member, I bid you farewell. But you will still be able to see me around blog land and on my You Tube channel!

Thanks for stopping by!
