Happy Hallow's Eve!

I have been wanting to get a card posted all day today, but just not have had a moment. So this will be a quick post to wish everyone a Happy Halloween!  This year will be the first year that we will not be around to give candy. It is parent's night at my son's football game tonight so we will be at the game.

Halloween has changed so much from when I was a child. You don't see as many kids out any more Trick or Treating. I guess it is just a sign of the times!

Well, here is the card I promised you.

I sprayed the spiders with acrylic spry. Gave a glossy shine. I even stamped my envelope so that it would match my card.

Well, be safe tonight, if you are going out! You never know what may be lurking around the corner.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Pick Your Poison

Isn't Halloween Fun! There are so many cutesy cards, but I am really getting into the kinda "creepy, spooky cards". Tim Holtz has a lot of items that work so well. I have been digging his Laboratorie paper collection. They have a feel of creepy and vintage...

The stamp is from Inkadinkadoo and worked perfectly for this card. I finished off the inside of the card with the matching paper and added a fun sticker sentiment.

Happy Halloween!

613 Avenue Create - Bags, Tags, Boxes and More...

Hey everyone! It is time for another challenge over at 613 Avenue Create.

Theme:  Bags, Tags, Boxes and More
Sponsor:  Bugaboo Stamps

We have a fun challenge in store for you! We would love to see Bags, Tags & Boxes, but it is always fun when we see more.  I went with the more this time and created a cute little matchbook that holds my post-its.

I had seen this design on one of the blogs last week. Inside actually had candy, but I thought it would be cute for a little post it note pad.

Simple, but cute!

So have I got your juices flowing? Hopefully you will come up with a great project to share with us this week. I can't wait to see it!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Parisian Bookmarker

We have a used bookstore in town called Thrifty Joe's. The owner said that she may be interested in selling some of my book markers, so I thought I would make a few different ones.

I have been trying to find images and digi stamps that are long and would make great book markers. I love vintage Paris, so when I saw this one, I was excited to try it out.

Here is another one I recently made. I love the bauble!

I have been recycling cereal boxes and using them to give the book marker sturdiness. I didn't want it to be too think, so the cereal boxes worked out great. Anything to recycle right?

Well hopefully you like them, I hope to find some more great images!

Path of Positivity Mid Month - Courage

Art is courageous. Don't you think? While imagination is a big part of it, sharing your work with the world also takes courage.  Which leads me to our mid month inspiration over at Path of Positivity.

Theme:  Courage

I have been wanting to make a quilt card for some time. Well I finally went out and purchased a punch just for that occasion. It is a hexagon punch and works perfect for quilt cards.

The image I used is called Catherine Hat Lady. It is such a beautiful image. One of my favorites. I probably should not have fussy cut the neck out, but again, Art is courageous. Hopefully you think my fussy cut works!

I LOVE this quote!

OK, so be courageous and show us your talent. We can't wait!

Creative Knockouts - Halloween

We only have a few more nights until Halloween night. We have been seeing such fun Halloween projects all month long. So please don't stop now because it is time for another challenge over at

This fun little image is called Little Witch Hazel. Just a perfect little witch for a "not so scary" Halloween card.

You can click on the image below to take you right to this cutie!

Here is a closer look.

So there are still a few more days. Let's see what you can make using our theme "Halloween"!

Poison or Potion - Tim Holtz Laboratorie Paper Collection

Well, I have been on a kick making book cards, so I thought I would pop on and share one more. I have The Tim Holtz Laboratorie paper stack and I thought it would be great fun to make a book card using that paper. I have this wonderful rubber stamp that was perfect for the front of the card.

What did I tell you, just perfect right?

The theme was Potion/Poison, but I threw in some spiders for fun.

I found this great spell on line.

Here are those spiders I was telling you about. Just LOVE the eye on top. It is one of Tim Holt'z rub ons. He even has it in a rubber stamp.

I had to give a Poison warning of course.

I includuded an insert for the middle pocket so that a personal sentiment could be included.
